A key element of success with cuttings is reducing ‘evaporative demand’ to limit water stress, thereby promoting vigorous wound healing and rapid rooting. The EvapoMister is the ideal way to control mist or fog because it actually measures this ‘evaporative demand’, responding to light, humidity, temperature, wind and leaf wetting. Thus there is no need to adjust timers to compensate for weather, season, ventilation, shading etc.

Whatever the background environment, the system applies the amount of mist or fog needed to limit evaporation to the level set by the control knob. The user selects a setting to suit their cuttings, medium and bed drainage; e.g. many soft wilty cuttings prefer a low setting (1 to 1.3). For difficult to wean material (e.g. microprop) the setting can be raised in stages. The set point defines a level of support for the cuttings that can be reproduced year in and year out in different facilities and on different nurseries. This is a great advantage and is unique to the Evaposensor control system.

Installation is straightforward and flexible. It can be used as a stand-alone controller providing power to solenoid valves or it can be integrated into existing controllers, e.g. ETS 16 station controllers and other common misting, fogging and irrigation control systems.

Field tested on six commercial nurseries in HDC funded research (HNS 159, HNS 159A; reports available to levy-payers from the HDC), evaposensor control offers many advantages.

ALL CONTROL UNITS ARE SUPPLIED WITH COMPLETE TECHNICAL AND INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS.
ALL CONTROL UNITS CARRY A 12 MONTH WARRANTY.
